  • China decides to extend the short-stay visa-exemption policy for citizens of 12 countries, namely Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, and Luxembourg, to December 31, 2025. Ordinary passport holders from the above-mentioned countries can be exempted from visa to enter China and stay for no more than 15 days for business, tourism, family visit and transit purposes. Those who do not meet the above mentioned purposes, time limit for visa exemption or holding other passports or travel documents still need to apply for Chinese visa before entering into China.

  • For those who need a visa to enter, please kindly follow these steps : It's recommended by consular officer that the applicant starts this procedures three months ahead of the travelling starting date. Normally it will take 10 working days to process.
  • Please remember to ask Vicki to offer you an invitation letter up front, it is required in the list of materials that you need to submit to the embassy. Select '(L) Tourism', and scroll to the bottom click 'View Material List'.
  • Thank you for your preparation on our wedding, very appreciated! ❤

Cost estimation

  • We recommend coming for a couple weeks and visiting Zhoushan / China too. You can take a plane to Shanghai (between 600 and 1000 EUR back and forth currently for 2024, 2025 reservations not open yet). From there renting a car is probably the best option, although long distance buses exist. IT takes about 5h from Shanghai to Zhoushan.
  • We recommend booking the Grand Barony Hotel Zhoushan (ZhouShan CaiFu Hotel), as it is where the wedding will take place, and it's close to the city center. Cost for a room is between 70 and 100 Euros
  • Sheraton Zhoushan Hotel (if you have a marriot membership, why not choose this one 🙂).
Fee Rate during end of December 760 RMB per night : Sheraton Zhoushan Hotel
